After finishing his studies and PHD at the institute of process engineering of the Technical University Dresden, Dr. Jochen Tilger joint the management consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Partners, Munich in the competence center Engineered Products. Within 7 years of engagement with Roland Berger Strategy Partners, he managed several projects for engineering and construction companies in the area of strategy development, business process optimization and restructuring.
From 1998 to 2003, Dr. Jochen Tilger took over responsibility in different central staff functions of the AGIV AG, Frankfurt and the mg Technologies AG, Frankfurt (today GEA group). From 2001 to 2003, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Lurgi Lentjes North America Inc. in Columbia, USA in the business area of flue gas cleaning systems for coal fired power plants.
In 2003, Dr. Jochen Tilger joint the management team of Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co. KG, Detmold and took over the operational responsibility for the North American business and the strategic alliance with Rockwell Automation, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In addition, he temporarily served as business manager China leading the development and implementation of a new China strategy.
In February 2005, Dr. Jochen Tilger was founding member of NAWARO BioEnergie AG, Leipzig and became Director Engineering and Managing Director of NAWARO Engineering GmbH, Leipzig, a 100% subsidiary of NAWARO BioEnergie AG. He played a leading role in the project development, construction and commissioning of the biggest biomethane plant based on renewable resources in the world in Guestrow, Germany, and of all other biogas projects of NAWARO BioEnergie AG (among others: BioEnergie Park “Klarsee”, Penkun).
In 2016, Dr. Jochen Tilger founded the company Tilger Biofuels 2.0 KG. This company provides project development and management services in the area of second generation biofuels.
